President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine does not want the war to continue for many years. Therefore, Kyiv and its partners should develop a joint action plan based on the results of the first Peace Summit, which would force the Russian Federation to end the war.

He stated this at a press conference with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, in Brussels on June 27.

The president expects this plan to be developed over the next several months.

«We have to find and prepare this plan (from the end of the war, — note) and put it on the table within a few months. We don't have much time because we have many wounded and killed on the battlefield and civilians. We don't want this war to last for years,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

According to him, the plan for settling the war should be discussed during the second summit.

We will remind, on Thursday, June 27, the leaders' summit began in Brussels, to which the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived. During the meeting with the leaders of the EU countries, Ukraine signed an agreement with the EU on security guarantees.

We should also note that on Wednesday, June 26, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy went to Donetsk region and introduced the new commander of the United Forces, Andrii Hnatov.
