Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the country will not be able to live in a state of frozen conflict because it needs reliable and concrete security guarantees.

He said this at a press conference in Brussels on December 19.

«We must understand that we cannot live with a frozen conflict. When it comes to a ceasefire in any conflict, any war, people know what will happen after, how it will all end. You need to know what will happen tomorrow in order to make a ceasefire today. Otherwise, you are simply making a frozen conflict. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that he had not spoken with Orban and called such initiatives regarding the lives of Ukrainians frivolous and more like political PR.
