The EU is sending 500 generators

The European Commission announced that it is sending 500 more generators to Ukraine.

This is stated in the message of the European Commission on Friday, European Truth writes.

It is noted that Russia's brutal attacks have made Ukraine's energy infrastructure vulnerable, so another 500 power generators are being sent to Ukraine.

Thus, the total number of generators sent to Ukraine will increase to more than 5,500 «to ensure sufficient power supply and support the operation of vital services».

Thus, generators obtained from the EU's emergency reserves located in Poland range from small (12.5 kVA) to large (1000 kVA) capable of powering an entire hospital in the event of a power outage. The cost of 500 electric generators, which are transferred to Ukraine, is 16.5 million euros.

It is worth noting that on April 10 of this year, Mykolaiv received 9 generators of various capacities and three anesthesia stations from partners. The generators will be installed at drinking and purified water dispensing points so that they work autonomously.

Also in January of this year , benefactors handed over a powerful diesel generator to Mykolaivvodokanal utility company. Its cost is 400 thousand dollars.

Last December, Germany handed over 4 generators with a capacity of 715, 410 and 630 kW to Mykolaiv.
