Russia has changed its approach to attacks on Ukraine's energy sector, trying to simultaneously target power plants and electricity distribution networks.

This was stated by First Deputy Energy Minister Artem Nekrasov.

Due to the consequences of the attack on 8 November, most regions of Ukraine are introducing hourly blackouts and power restrictions for industry and business.

The Ministry of Energy is urging people to limit the use of electrical appliances during peak hours — from 8 to 11 am and from 4 to 8 pm. The use of energy-intensive appliances after 10pm will help reduce the load on the system and stabilise the grid.

As a reminder, an average of 12 hours of power outages are expected in Mykolaiv on 10 November.
