Olesia Babii, a former employee of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Mykolaiv region, who was fired because she participated in the TV show «MasterChef», has had her disciplinary action cancelled. The court recognised the actions of the management as illegal.

This was reported by Tetiana Dombrovska, a deputy of the Mykolaiv City Council from the «Servant of the People» party, according to NikVesti.

«The story of Mykolaiv rescuer Olesia Babii-Polezhaieva, who was pressured and fired after participating in a TV show, lasted for more than five months. In May, I publicly raised the issue, sent a deputy inquiry to the SES leadership and have been following the case with my team ever since. And finally, a fair decision! The court recognised the actions of the management as illegal, and cancelled the disciplinary sanctions,» the MP said.

Earlier, the Mykolaiv District Administrative Court considered the lawsuit filed by Olesia Babii, who was fired because of her participation in the TV show «MasterChef».

As a reminder, Olesia Babii, a major of the Civil Protection Service of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Mykolaiv, was dismissed from her post because of her participation in the popular cooking show «MasterChef».

It is worth noting that Olesia Babii had worked at the department for 10 years. In March, the girl was among the top 20 participants of the 15th season of the cooking show «MasterChef».
