Ukraine has started checking the technical condition of roads before the start of the winter period.

This was reported by the State Agency for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

The work involves specialists from the regional restoration services, representatives of the Patrol Police, Ukrtransbezpeka and contractors.

During the inspection, they check the condition of the road surface, roadsides, sidewalks, car pavilions and lighting. They also look at how the video surveillance systems work and whether there are any damages at dangerous areas and railway crossings.

They also inspect car parks, parking areas, weight control areas and billboards near roads.

All deficiencies are recorded to eliminate them before the start of winter and make traffic safer and more comfortable.

As a reminder, the Mykolaiv region Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service is looking for a contractor to repair and maintain public roads of national importance. The total expected cost is 1.6 billion hryvnias.
