In August, residents of Mykolaiv collected more than 9.8 million litres of free purified water at special points set up on the basis of the utility company «Mykolaivoblteploenergo».

This was reported by the press service of the utility company. The post notes that since the beginning of 2025, 74.5 million litres of drinking water have already been supplied in Mykolaiv.

Currently, there are 79 water delivery points in the city every day from 05:00 to 24:00.

Earlier, Oleksii Kuleba, Vice Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister of Communities and Territories Development, said that the construction of a new water supply system for Mykolaiv was already at the final stage. Pumping stations are 86% ready. He said that at the end of August, the city would receive water.

Later, Vitaliy Kim said that the new water supply system, which should provide Mykolaiv with drinking water, could be launched on 26-27 August. At the same time, the first stage of the new treatment plant will be ready no earlier than October.
