President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a law that opens up the possibility of Ukraine joining the single roaming area with the European Union.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

After officially joining the Roam Like at Home policy, Ukrainians will be able to use mobile communications and the Internet in 27 EU countries without additional tariffs - under the same conditions as within Ukraine.

The same advantage will apply to EU citizens staying in Ukraine.

Final approval from European institutions is currently awaited.

Earlier it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a decision that is part of the roaming «visa-free» regime with the European Union. Users of Ukrainian mobile operators will be able to make calls to subscribers of European networks at the price of a domestic tariff.

Last April, the Council of the European Union supported Ukraine's accession to the EU's free roaming zone. This will allow Ukrainians to pay less for roaming in European countries.
