Electricity supply has been restored to residents of an apartment building at 79 Mykhailo Kozlov Street in the Varvarovka neighbourhood.

This was reported to NikVesti by residents of the building.

Due to a broken cable from the switchboard, the residents had been without electricity and water for more than four days, which also requires electricity to be supplied.

At the request of the residents, the editorial team of NikVesti investigated the situation. It turned out that about 40,000 hryvnias were needed to restore the cable. At the same time, there was uncertainty about who should pay for these works: the regional power company or the housing office — the company «Forest Centre C». The latter did not have these funds in its account.

However, a day after the news was published on NikVesti, the electricity supply was restored to the residents.

In a commentary to us, the director of the housing office, Inna Khomkolova, said that despite the lack of funds on their account, they still restored the electricity to the residents as part of the next utility bill.

«Oblenergo did not help us, we resolved this issue on our own. We will continue to write off the current repairs, where the funds will come from,» said Inna Khomkolova.

As a reminder, residents of the Varvarivka neighbourhood in Mykolaiv are asking the authorities to set up free water points.
