Other regions will also receive vaccines — Ternopil, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Chernivtsi, and Donetsk region. The vaccine will be delivered to other regions from November 18.

The Center noted that vaccination with ADP (adsorbed diphtheria-tetanus vaccine with reduced content of diphtheria and tetanus antigens) is used for revaccination of teenagers and adults. In particular, it is recommended at the age of 16, and then every 10 years throughout life.

Vaccination is especially important for the prevention of dangerous diseases. Diphtheria can cause severe breathing difficulties, and its toxins affect the heart, nervous system, and kidneys. Tetanus, which enters the body through wounds, causes painful muscle spasms and has a high risk of death even with medical help.

Vaccination is free according to the Preventive Vaccination Calendar. Residents of Mykolaiv and Odesa can contact their family doctor or the nearest medical facility to receive the vaccine.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health approved updated recommendations on vaccination against the coronavirus.
