Ukrposhta will issue a postage stamp «City of Heroes. Mykolaiv», which was illustrated using a photograph taken by NikVesti journalist Olena Naraivska.

The postal company notes that this stamp continues the release of a series dedicated to those cities that etched their name in the history of Ukrainian resistance.

The stamp depicts the building of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration after the Russian attack, on the margins of the sheet there is a monument to St. Nicholas, the guardian angel and patron of the city. The envelope depicted protective fortifications made of tires near the building of the former first tram substation of Mykolaiv.

The authors of these pictures were NikVesti journalist Olena Naraivska, as well as Dmytro Skorokhodov and Yevhenii Zahorodnii. The stamp was designed by Volodymyr Taran.

Currently, it can be pre-ordered, and from September 9, it can be purchased at branches and philatelic shops.

We will remind you that on March 24, 2022, the President of Ukraine awarded Mykolaiv the «Hero City of Ukraine» award.

It was previously reported that at the «Ukraine Recovery Conference» held in Berlin, a photo exhibition about the destroyed Ukrainian cultural heritage «Behind the Lens: Culture in the Whirlwind of War» was presented. Some of these shots were made by journalists of the Mykolaiv NikVestii publication.

We will also remind you that the sketch of a schoolgirl from Mykolaiv won the competition for the best Christmas stamp from Ukrposhta.
