Sabrina Singh emphasized that «only the Ukrainian side can comment on the issue of the disaster, and the Pentagon does not confirm information about the causes of the accident.»

«I saw the message, but I don't have information about the provision of assistance (in the investigation of the incident, — note) from our side or requests for it from the side of Ukraine,» she said.

Sabrina Singh added that the US is not commenting on «the details of the incident or the details of the possible electronic equipment on board the fighter jets».

She also refused to talk about the number of F-16s in Ukraine, calling it an «operational security issue.»

We will remind that on August 29, the General Staff of the Armed Forces officially confirmed that Ukraine lost its first F-16 fighter.
