Ukraine is preparing a programme to protect Kherson and other frontline cities from Russian drones.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a briefing.

According to him, the command of the Unmanned Systems Forces presented a concept for protecting Kherson's skies, which has already been supported at the state level. It envisages the creation of a system for detecting, intercepting and neutralising Russian drones attacking populated areas.

«Today we presented a programme to protect Kherson's skies and combat enemy UAVs. I asked to develop a corresponding programme for all border cities located in hot areas,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

He also announced the mass production of an alternative to the DJI Mavic.

«We were looking for alternatives. Alternatives have been found, and this alternative will be mass-produced. We are now preparing the relevant contracts for financing,» the President said.
