In the Kherson region, law enforcement officials reported the suspicion to the director of the educational complex. The female figure in the case is accused of embezzling more than half a million hryvnias of budget funds. She faces up to eight years in prison.

According to the communications department of the police of the Kherson region, the 67-year-old manager awarded 23 employees of the educational institution in July 2022. The size of the premiums ranged from one thousand hryvnias to 60 thousand hryvnias, which led to the embezzlement of more than 516 thousand hryvnias from the local budget.

The investigators classified the defendant's illegal actions under Part 4 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, namely: embezzlement of someone else's property by an official abusing his official position, committed under martial law.
