The Mykolaiv Zoo accused a Kharkiv entrepreneur of disrupting supplies: «Animals are starving because of you!»

The Mykolaiv Zoo reported that the animals are starving due to an unscrupulous supplier who won the tender for the purchase of fodder.

This is reported on the Facebook page of the zoo.

The zoo said that individual entrepreneur Rostyslav Volkov, registered in Kharkiv, undersupplied 14 tons of pumpkins to the institution. Since the contract has been concluded, the zoo, according to the law, cannot choose another supplier.

«Mykolaiv Zoo appeals to unscrupulous suppliers! If you participate in a tender for the supply of food products and bring the goods from afar, from other regions of Ukraine, and you cannot deliver the ordered products on time due to difficult weather conditions or other circumstances, then it is better not to participate in the tender at all! Because of your negligence, innocent animals are suffering, who do not receive food on time and do not understand your problems,» the director of the zoo said.

They added that repeated appeals to the supplier remained unanswered.

«Dear Mr. Rostyslav, if you participated in the tender and won it, please comply with the current legislation and meet the delivery deadlines! Because of you, animals are starving!!!», the message reads.

It should be noted that in August of this year, the zoo concluded a contract with Rostyslav Volkov for the supply of pumpkins, melons and watermelons for the animals. The total amount of the contract is 450,974 hryvnias.

Also in October, the same entrepreneur won a tender for the purchase of peas and potatoes for 2024. The amount of the contract is 387,966 hryvnias.
