«Ukrzaliznytsia» locksmith beat a train passenger in Mykolaiv: he reconciled with the victim and received a probationary period

In the summer of this year, a mechanic at the Mykolaiv locomotive depot broke the nose and cheekbone of a train passenger. He was given a one-year probationary period.

This is evidenced by the verdict of the Lenin District Court of Mykolaiv dated November 16, NikVesti writes.

The convict worked as a mechanic repairing rolling stock at the «Mykolaiv» Locomotive Depot, a branch of Odesa Railways of PJSC «Ukrzaliznytsia». On August 14, in the area of Zaliznychna Street in Mykolaiv, on the basis of suddenly arising hostile relations, he quarreled with a passenger of the «Mykolaiv-Dolynska» train and punched him several times in the face. The victim suffered a broken nose, cheek bone and bruises. Physical injuries were classified as mild and moderate.

The court found the man guilty of the criminal offense provided for in part 1 of Article 122 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced him to one year of imprisonment.

The convict was released from serving the prescribed sentence with a probationary period of one year.

Earlier it was reported that in Mykolaiv, a man who tried to touch the breasts of a minor girl and showed her his genitals, received a three-year probationary term.
