Sweden does not rule out the possibility of strengthening the post-war peacekeeping mission in Ukraine, said Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard.

When we establish such a peace, we have to ensure that it is maintained, and then our government will not rule anything out,» the Swedish Foreign Minister said.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed his initiative of a peacekeeping force in Ukraine with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Later, Zelenskyy said that at least 200,000 foreign peacekeepers would be needed to prevent Russia from attacking Ukraine again after any possible peace deal.
